Raiders v Storm will be nearing 20000 if weather is good!
And Is the West Tigers v Warriors at ANZ or Campbelltown? Pretty sure the Telegraph has got it at ANZ. My season footy schedule sheet states Campbelltown?
Raiders 20k at 6 Friday? Tigers are at Campbelltown, aren’t they?

Im pretty sure in Round 1 in 2017 it was raining all weekend some crowds were less than they had hoped.

It was the same in this round but the crowd average was a lot better.

Good start. Hope they keep it up.

We could push 25k on Saturday. Better time slot and coming off a win. Hopefully the weather is decent too.

From what's been observed the 6pm kick off in regional centres like Newcastle and Canberra seem to work better than in the city of Sydney. (traffic related issues mostly)Think that's the logic . Good weather, good opponent, kid/family friendly kick off time, , less traffic issues and a winning Raiders side may be a good recipe for a decent size crowd.

6pm is really for locals and it looks like we are stuck with it.

Yep. And it's a family friendly timeslot. Especially in regional centres. Understand the issues in Sydney with traffic. Not as bad in places like Newcastle and Canberra.

It still costs us a few thousand in attendance at least though. We have a lot of fans who have to travel and just can’t make it in time.

Maybe the extra kids with parents might be the trade off. Newcastle seems to work well..For instance, I'm looking to take my daughter to the Knights game at 5.30pm this Saturday. Would not have taken her if it was 7pm.

It probably bring a few more in but no way would it match the amount who miss out. Put the Sharks game on a Sunday arvo (weather permitting) and we’d of got over 25,000 comfortably.

Perhaps? Think the biggest attendance for the Knights was either a Saturday arvo 5.30pm or Friday 6pm last season. It definitely was not a Sunday game.

We hardly had any Sunday games and we don’t this year either. I’m happy with any time slot outside the 6pm Friday to be honest. I can get to the game on time but like to watch the lower grades.

That would be an 11k improvement on this same game last year (that one was a Friday 6pm from memory), which would be massive improvement and to be honest not out of reach

I think at worst we will have more people than last Friday

The only bad thing about playing against the Sharks and Panthers is that there is never many as away supporters as the other Sydney teams which brings the figure down a bit

Sunday is by far and away the preferred time slot.

Open to debate. Personally I will attend a Saturday afternoon game before a Sunday game. Think the Knights biggest crowd was on Saturday afternoon last season. Their 2nd biggest was Friday 6pm. So going on those recent figures I don't think
Sundays are that great. Understand you may think their is nothing on however their is more disposable income and other attractions to complement especially Saturday game days. For example a night out with friends quite often goes hand in hand after a Saturday arvo game. Also a Saturday game is more inviting for travelling fans as they get to spend the night in Newcastle or at least travel back that night without being extremely tired for work on a Monday. Some pros and cons . In fact I purchased my 6 game Knights membership on the basis I had 7 Saturday games to choose from this season. Otherwise, I would not have bought it if it was less than 6 Saturday games to choose from.

To be honest I think it depends on your circumstances
Sunday is better for families but for those going without kids the night games are much better and also I find have a better atmosphere

I did this towards the end of last year and figure I'd start over and go again this year

It's a spreadsheet thats tracks the average crowds (and other things) for each ground rather than each team, I'll update it each week and probably post it each Monday. Crowd figures are from NRL.com, and stadium capacity is from Austadiums

Good work. I'd suggest adding an * beside rain-reduced crowds. Dunno how you manage that with cumulative crowds and averages.

like you said its a cumulative figure which makes it hard to add special circumstances to individual crowds.

Way I see it though is at the end of the day weather is a thing that happens everywhere, and if it effects crowds it effects crowds
