Shire will be lucky to get 8k tonight. If NRL complain about fans not going, they’re only got themselves to blame by chasing the TV dollar.

The NRL would be in a stronger position by having fans at games than watching on TV and chasing the $’s. Hopefully the next tv deal is more fan friendly but I doubt they cars that much about attendance anymore.

Hope so! When a main coverage channel informs that this game was a sellout on Monday ? This doesn't make it easier for people to be aware that their are tickets still for sale. It doesn't help. Mixed messages don't help if chasing a sellout!

Earlier this year Sharks chairman Dino Mezzatesta revealed the club needed a crowd of 16,500 at every home game just to break even. The largest attendance for a Sharks match at PointsBet Stadium in 2018 was just 14,800, meaning playing out of their own stadium comes at a considerable expense.
