Lol funny how Brookie has been fine all year except for when finals rolls around

Just NRLs way of saying they want to move it to SCG

Down approx 1.5% on 2018
FWIW AFL up 0.9%
Basically status quo for both codes

This was the 14th best H&A average for RL

Suggest a drop off in Broncos home crowds must be factored in. Games that used to draw 40000 plus were achieving low 30000s or less. Exhorbitant ticket prices taking its effect at Suncorp Stadium I suggest. Over a season that has an impact.

Another big rugby league crowd should be gathering this weekend in Port Moresby. The PNG grandfinal is expected to draw 15000plus.
Do you know anything about footy there?
I’m going there next March
Was hoping to see a game. I’ll be in Kavieng though.
From what I can gather they aren’t in the comp...local footy would be fine

Not really. Looks like a developing competition though. I've decided to go for the Wigmen and will follow into the future.

Not sure if the same as last year but i feel more blockbusters were played on Thursday as well and that has an affect.

If you look at the history of attendances for the broncos over the past 15 years that average is about right for the performance of the team. Thursday nights hurt that’s for sure but they’ve had worse seasons attendance wise than that.

Pretty disappointing considering that WSS opened this year and gave us a small boost.

Brisbane Broncos price gauging would have negatively impacted overall crowd figures. They usually get mid to high 40000 for games against Cowboys and Storm plus other big Sydney clubs. This did not happen. Heard reports of basic tickets costing $45 and upwards. A fair few Thursday night games did not help either.

Youv'e got to suggest the Dagon's crowd average was a big factor in the drop.
IOf as suggested ch9 wants to get rid of Thursday night crowds ,(next 7year???? or from 2023. ???),that's got to help crowd averages.

Yes. An underperforming St George-Illawarra Dragons would have been a major blow to attendance figures. Thursday night footy the other contributing factor along with the reduced Broncos numbers .

Knights would have cracked 20k if it wasn't for the coaching/administration debacle. Shame.

Roosters v Rabbitohs - 35K
Storm v Raiders - 19K
Sea Eagles v Sharks - 17k(whatever the sell out figure is at Brookvale) or 15k at Bankwest
Eels v Broncos - 28k

Another year with no growth, needs more new stadiums.
I reckon they should build a new one for the Cowboys - hopefully something closer to the centre of town
They should also build a new rectangular stadium in central Sydney - the SCG just isn't great for watching rugby league. If they could build better transport (maybe a light rail) to the the precinct that would also be grand

They also need to introduce a Perth team. And cut a Sydney team.

How did Parra average attendance fair (also had much better on field performance)

I don't think WSS will have much impact on increasing attendance for other teams that played there
