Decent crowd last night. I fear for the other games at the scg not involving Anzac Day but at least the rain held off until the game started. Just a worry today with Leichhardt, doesn’t do well with rain. And hopefully tomorrow out in Penrith might be slightly affected. Could have been worse having more games affected by the rain.

game is all but sold out at the foot of the mountains so shouldn't affect it too much

New Zealand Warriors Offering Tickets To This Afternoon's Game Free-Of-Charge
"Stand shoulder to shoulder"

The New Zealand Warriors are offering tickets to this afternoon's game with the Bulldogs free-of-charge.

After Friday's tragic events in Christchurch, the Warriors have decided to open the gates as New Zealand mourns.

“We are all devastated and in shock about what happened in Christchurch yesterday,” Club CEO Cameron George said.

“New Zealand is hurting. We are New Zealand’s team in the NRL and we want the public to join us this evening to acknowledge collectively those who have been affected by the heinous act in our country.

“Let’s use tonight’s match as an opportunity for the New Zealand public to stand shoulder to shoulder.”

The Warriors and Bulldogs will wear black armbands and observe a minute’s silence ahead of kick-off.

The New Zealand national anthem will also be played.

You can catch the game on Triple M, from 12pm (AEDT) with kickoff set for 3pm (AEDT).

*Edit - Tweet from Warriors added.

The Nrl should have a $10 ticket round.. As a fan appreciation round. A thank you from the Nrl for staying loyal after the off season poor player behaviour..

Todd if you are reading step up an reward fans..

It should have used some of it’s massive revenue increase to subsidise children’s tickets to $1 with a paying adult for the next 5 years.

Union canceled their NZ game at the last minute “in respect”. I thought League might do the same but I think their approach: free entry, minute silence, anthem, blackarm bands was a better response. However the haters of league will noisily disagree

They only cancelled the game involving the Crusaders, the Chiefs and Hurricanes was still played in Hamilton over the weekend, so it was also a player welfare decision.
