Watching game today and how enjoyable its been compared to some of the others this weekend I’m even more convinced the nrl should get proactive and try and get as many Sydney v Sydney games at bankwest as possible. Offer the Sunday slot next season to any club taking their games v other Sydney teams there, offer marketing support and offer a subsidy to allow opposition club members in. Let’s get the max benefit of this great stadium for the game.

No point in getting all that money from tv by selling sht times for fans if we dont use some of that money to do something useful.

Yeah 2 games there and everyone should play there! Manly v Cronulla @ Bankwest how good would that be!!

Absolutely fantastic crowd and it was just so fun to watch on TV. Goes to show how much a big crowd can improve the TV experience. Also you can really tell that the players get amped up playing in front of a crowd like that.

Can’t wait for the other new stadiums to come along. Now we just need Canberra to get their shit together...

Its a great stadium and all us Parra fans are so happy to be at a stadium where you feel right at home and close to the action.

The atmosphere is great and I think our average crowds will improve a lot.

Unfortunately I have to wait till 23rd May for the next game. Cant wait that long.

Just with Canberra Stadium what are Raiders fans thoughts on the ground??

Thursday night 23rd Bank West should be a fair indication of the halo effect..

If that gets 20k+ we could be on to something

Parras form will be the deciding factor, they have a huge amount of bandwagon fans, just look at their 50k crowd in the semi v cowboys in 17

As long as they keep winning they will have no dramas filling that stadium out

Novacastrian who moved to Canberra. The ground is pretty bad. It is exposed to all weather with little shelter from wind and rain. Went to a match last winter and it was -10. Not too far from city centre, but there is nothing out there to do given its built within the Australian Institute of Sport.

Building the proposed 20,000+ stadium in the City would be incredible.

I was at the game yesterday. It is a great venue and was a brilliant day again.
Why don't they advertise to the crowd when the next home game is on? I didn't see or hear a single promotion for the Penrith game or the fact it will be the first night game. They could have handed out flyers to fans in eels jerseys as they walked through the gates. Or just put a sign up around the ground about the game and where to get tickets.

I was the one sitting in the top of the Western Stand that made the plane out of the cardboard propaganda that was handed out that actually managed to get their plane onto the grass. ;)

Now I remember you. When I saw that "criminal" act,I immediately called security. They asked me to describe the perpetrator. A p*ssed "white" male who has no fear of heights.
The guard responded "that covers just about everyone in the upper decks."

3 weeks. Panthers and Parra play there doubt that gets 15k

Kind of missing the point, like the idiot who chose the worse two supported clubs to show as an example. If Parra v Penrith was Sunday afternoon, hyped up as an event, loads of stuff stuff for kids, panthers and eels members get entry would it draw nearer 20k? Dragons v bulldogs, Souths v sharks, panthers v roosters etc. make it Sydney’s game of the week and let’s keep filling the only decent stadium in the city and let’s stop being ok with 10-12k crowds.

Thats crazy there must be 1mill fans within 20 minutes drive, train of the brand new stadium that hasnt had a night game before.
Parra should try to get some vivid type light show going out there and try to get some families to come for that.

Penrith actually draw pretty poorly at Parramatta. Parra draw well when it is at Penrith but the other way around is the opposite. I can't remember it ever getting 20k even when both have been good

Jarryd Hayne saved State of Origin from extinction when he single handedly beat QLD in 2014 and now Parramatta have single handedly saved the NRL from extinction with this new stadium/attendances

Anything to do with Parra saves RL from death, legendary club,NRL should reward us with a 20 million salary cap

Why don’t they play a game during vivid? Lights could go on and off every five seconds...would make for quite a spectacle. Everyone in the audience is given a pinger or two on entry and there’s a rave on the ground post match

I reckon it’s more like BankWest saved Parra ....for now.
