One of the two AFL teams on Saturday afternoon are the GWS Giants--- can't imagine they have many fans in Melbourne, they barely have any in Sydney :p

But it's a brilliant idea-- maybe not for the Prelim final, but should definitely be done for a H&A game next year. Maybe in the same fashion as there's the "away" corner, there can be an "AFL fan" corner in which there's a cheap merch/food package to get people into that area-- maybe even have Robbie Kearns go around that area and explain some of the rules before the game.
The 75 giant fans at the afl won’t make any difference either way

No it won't

Why on Earth would you think less roosters fans would turn up than did last week or last year's PF?
Ticketek could allocated half of the seats available to Roosters supporters and put them on sale tomorrow morning and 50% would sell in a few days regardless of who the opponents are, the rest would sell once people find out who we are playing, and when the bandwagoners come out

Just over 40,000 in 2017, before that in 2005 got 44,000 at the same ground.

Unfortunately both were poor results on the field.

Let's not forget in 2009 just under 30,000 against the Titans which has outdrawn other games involving two Sydney teams :)

I will never understand why they dont put the week 3 tickets on sale now...

An extra week of sales for the home team can only help attendance. Just keep a bunch in reserve for the opposition, everyones happy.

"That's the 26,476 that attended their semi-final against the Wests Tigers back in 2010.

Canberra Stadium's overall attendance record is 28,753 - the ACT Brumbies' Super Rugby grand final win over the Canterbury Crusaders in 2004.

Given their attendances from the last time they were in the finals, the Raiders have already floated the idea of expanding the stadium's capacity.

In 2016, they increased the number of standing-room tickets, but this year they hope to go even further."

Raiders have asked the NRL to install temporary seating, plus standing areas. It's up for the NRL to make the decision.

Let's hope the NRL approve this request. Seem to recall that Mal Meninga's last game attracted over 29000 in Canberra?

Why do they need to ask the NRL. Go and see whoever runs the stadium, ask them to install the seating, put the extra seats on sale. Profit.
