So my team should be disadvantaged with an incorrect 6 again call? How is that more fair than the ref immediately correcting their call both verbally and visually by screaming "LAST LAST LAST" and holding his hand up signaling last?

Wighton should have quite easily been able to see Cummins signaling it was the last tackle:

The ref should have given us the best chance to put a good play on

It’s not rocket science mate

Yeah fine. Wrong call but it was about the only thing that went our way in that half.

The raiders had every opportunity.

They played a top game but lacked a bit of class to finish.

They will be there abouts again next year.

Lol. We play by a different set of rules to some other clubs, there's no room for season to season continuity. We're as likely to be 15th as we are 2nd next year.

The six again was definitely an issue, because on review it was the wrong call. If the raiders had won off that, it would've been tainted as shit to get a win off a dud call. The only difference is that the majority would be saying "that happens in the game" because people hate Easts almost as much as they hate Manly.

Nah, the difference is a wrong call a team has a chance to recover from and deal with. Those are the 50/50's.

But a changed call at a crucial moment like the 6 again call, the raiders cannot recover from that decision for that set, as the decision wasn't changed until the player was tackled and it was a hand over.

Thats the difference for mine. It's semantics in the end. The Raiders had plenty of chances to score and couldn't get the job done.

The better salary cap enhanced team won on the day. But the refs, I honestly don't see the ref calamity we get nearly every game in any other major sport.

The fact that Cummins says “is it six again” then signals his hand for six again highlights how the refs literally make shit up on the spot.

It’s not that the correct call was eventually made. It’s that a call was made which the players then acted upon.

And a trainer affected the course of the entire game in the first 3 mins

A ball hitting a trainer is by the rule book a scrum to the attacking team (ruled by territory).

Its a dumb rule that should be changed to giving it to the defending team, but it was applied correctly tonight.

Mind, it should have been a penalty to us anyway for Soliola tackling the kicker's legs

Mate listen to the press conference the Raiders were all class.

But let's look at the facts... your trainer was stuffing around at the back got hit and you got rewarded and scored a try on the back off it (after a drop out set)... then u scored a try after the worst backflip ever (whether it was the right call is irrelevant, u cannot backflip a call).

Who got lucky?

Cooper was a sin binning it has been all year.

The trainer did what all trainers do. Plus it’s not like he changed direction to make contact with the ball. It’s unlucky for raiders and nothing more

No, Cummins made an error he should have called last tackle initially. It isn't rocket science and it isn't the Roosters fault. What happened was a basket case.

Who defended better in your opinion.

Who attacked better in your opinion?

I thought Canberra were the better team but that's irrelevant and what every single person who is not a Roosters fan is saying is irrelevant. You guys won and congrats on it.

They did. they immediately corrected the call both verbally and visually. The photo I posted shows Cummins very clearly signalling with his hand that it is the last tackle before Wighton takes possession, and well within Wighton's sightline.

Wighton missed the signal.
