But you could also do that if you just wore your main jersey for every game, and an alternate only when needed, similar to what Saints, Raiders, Roosters and a few others do.

It’s your weird obsession with having more than one front of jersey sponsor, and needing to give them equal exposure, that results in this home and away business

If they wanted to have red & green stripes for home AND away.. why not invert the ratio on the away jersey so it's 2:1 dominated by red instead of green?

Because the colours don't contrast well. The idea is to have the home jersey contrast the away. Annoyingly, the current black & white switch between home and away does this.

Can't find a copy of it online but the NRL operations manual made a point of teams requiring a clash design. Souths are passing off a very similar design as a clash which has forced them (or their opponent) to wear a third jersey on at least two occasions. At other times, they haven't provided what I would call adequate contrast (vs Panthers early in the season springs to mind).

There’s already about 6 shirts each year I’m not sure it would make a whole lot of difference. If you don’t like a jersey wait a week or two.

While acknowledging most clubs have 3-4 jerseys minimum, didn't someone run the stats for jerseys this year and found that most clubs wore one of two jerseys most of the season?

Maybe so, I just don’t see a non red, green and white away jersey adding a lot of sales when there’s already heaps of choice anyway.
If someone purchased the away the sale would in a lot of cases just not go to one of the others.

We managed to get a sponsor when we were gang banging, peptide injecting, cancer causing wooden spooners.

Now with a smoking hot team and a bunch of FTA games locked in and a premiership we’ll be fine.
