Latrell Mitchell places such a high value on this game he asked for (and was granted) permission to miss the World Club Challenge to play in this match.

That's f**ken sweet.
If previous match ups are anything to go by this should be awesome. Some suspensions may come out of it but hopefully nothing to affect the club season.

Teamlists updated at the top. As expected AJ is fullback for the Indigenous, Leilani Latu comes into the front row.

For the Maori, James Tamou replaces Jordan McLean in the front row.

Mitchell could have played in next years indigenous game. The WCC?, I doubt he will get the chance to play in another one.

I think the Maoris win and win well. Sure the 2-5 for the Indigenous is insane but unless they get marched downfield doubt they'll get much chance to shine. The Kiwi pack and bench would match any team in the worlds whereas the Aussie one is barly NRL standard

The Aussie pack isn't too bad, will do the job if the backs can tire the Maori pack out a bit.
That bench is garbage though. Way too light, would make Tim Sheens blush.

edit: Second thoughts, Kiwis have 2 backs on the bench and the fairly small Levi, maybe it won't be a huge factor.

So they need piggybacks down the field for the indigenous backs to score tries, the 2014 souffs gameplan

Mate in Round 20 2011 Sheens picked both Matt Utai and Mitch Brown on the bench.

Funnily enough we actually won, and it was the one time between 2010-2017 we beat the Roosters. Maybe that’s the trick, pick 2 shit wingers on the bench and watch them laugh themselves to a loss.

Hate to say it given the club that he plays for, but I'd be surprised if Mitchell never wins another premiership.

Hopefully he joins one of the good guys so that I can be proven right *and* enjoy it.
