They were well-beaten for 30 minutes in the second half, but only lost by 4 points. In 2017 Hayne's selfishness
I think you've got the wrong bloke there. I did say Tedesco deserved to win it last year. But are we giving awards based on last year? At the back end of game 1 as Queensland took charge he was useless. He was great in game 2, in a dominant side against an opposition that was still in Brisbane. Flat track bully they call it in cricket.

Everyone on here knows I'm Tedesco's harshest critic. He's dangerous if you allow him to be but in my view overrated.

He's the best fullback in the game right now.

It's an absolute travesty Isaah Yeo hasn't played 10 Origins yet!

Finally some sense in the thread.

Have a sense of doom about this game.

How many times has NSW been outright favorites only to be absolutely destroyed by half time?

The more I think that NSW should logically win, the less confident I am that it will happen.

Fmd. Supporting NSW has crippled me.

i wish the media would stay the f away from promoting Pearce redemption at SOO, it happened way too many times and the result always swing Toadtards way.

Heard Brett finch on Macquarie, blues playing for freddie. That is good but qlders play for the whole state.

Some of the pessimism here I find odd. This is the strongest NSW squad overall of the series with no major casualties, lining up against the weakest Qld team so far. Quoting history is pointless when the teams involved were largely or completely different to the ones lining up tonight. I think Qld will be fired up and may sting NSW early, but to keep the Blues at bay they'd have to collectively serve up utter dross across the park- or the Maroons forward pack will need to play the game of their lives.

Congrats on another Origin victory, NSW. I would say this will be Walters last year as coach of QLD. Would not be surprised to see him replace Brennan at the Titans

Two words echo the pessimism:
Mitchell Pearce

I see his role being different this time around. He's not expected to be the pivotal link in the team, despite the halfback role. I expect Freddy just wants him to tackle pass and scoot the ball (all of which he's decent at) and leave the kicking to Jimmy.

I would love to see Pearce get some revenge with a win tonight. It wasn't his fault he was up against gods in all his previous games.

It wasn't his fault he wasn't good enough and went to jelly when under pressure. It was the fault of those who selected him.

I hope someone has told Mitchell this.
