Not writing of Queensland but I feel tipping NSW to win is a pretty safe bet. All the momentum behind them, playing in Sydney, home ground advantage etc. It will take a mighty effort for the Maroons to win game 3
This has a feel of 1995 about it.

1995 happened in part because of the distraction of the Superleague war, and Gus has since admitted he regrets how he handled that Origin camp.

For there to be a repeat on Wednesday night, all the Blues' key players would have to collectively have a shocker or be complacent- and I really can't see either happening. Freddy was captain of that '95 NSW team, he'll be well aware of not letting it happen again.

After Game 2 Gould was going on about how complacency puts you off and that NSW will need to stay just as strong and can't let it get to their heads like what happened in 2017

It's not 1995 NSW should be worried about, it's game 1, 2019. NSW were well beaten. The usual NSW stars were useless when the chips were down. It's happened time and time again. Only a fool would think it can't happen this time, especially with Pearce out there.

They were well-beaten for 30 minutes in the second half, but only lost by 4 points. In 2017 Hayne's selfishness and Graham's bone-headed strip attempt on Gagai had way more influence than Pearce failing to get the team home off his own bat.

4 points is quite enough. The series isn't decided on aggregate points, it is decided on most wins. Pearce was just a mess in game 2, 2017, like a headless chicken, as Queensland gained the ascendency. He wasn't alone. A very similar game to game 1 this year. Don't think it cannot happen again.

Either team could start this game like nsw did in game 2. Also either team could hit aggressively with the shoulder in defence like qld did in game 3 two years ago. The result doesn’t depend on which team has more talent as much as depending on the attitude that both teams show up with.

Lmao at dumb Queenslanders going on about Fittler asking for protection for his playmakers

But years of their angel Thurston going on and on about it was all good

Just hope the media don't make this all about Pierce when we win.

Last week kn NRL 360, Paul Kent had the gall to declare that the big story in this years SOO so far is the one about Mitchell Pierce, and everything before the announcement of Pierce was just manufactured news.

So what he was actually saying that the efforts of this NSW side in SOO 2, and to a finer point Maloney, where irrelevant compared to the Pierce story.

Now I have heard everything.

Pearce deservedly so if NSW win. He would be made the scapegoat again if they lose so why not praises when the game is won. Ultimate redemption if you ask me
