At least winning ugly sets you up to possibly win a grinding finals game

That sort of win gives blokes confidence in the bloke beside him in defence. Confidence in the blokes around you leads to better decisions when it matters.

Ma’u has a pretty poor record so you know they’ll pin him for 1 or 2 weeks for that shot on Norman. That’s probably Taka’s spot if Fergo is back, then utility after that.

Thought it was a fairly good quality game with both sides defending pretty good !!

Yeah a couple of errors from us in the second half prevented us from closing out the game.

Overall good effort, and a good grinding win.

Deserved win, big effort given the incompetence of the refs in important decisions.

But getting to the nitty gritty, there is a necessity to sign at least 2 more forwards given the fall off when the front row was off the field. Probably an experienced back up hooker and another edge if possible. Back line looks set, but of the club really wants to contend, then forwards are needed.
