Unusual decision IMO. If Robbo didn't name a half on the reserves list on Tuesday then that's his issue. The NRL denied the Titans 2 years back when they signed Copley as injury cover a day after team naming, it's a poor look.

Tigers were denied bringing Jacob Liddle in when McIllwrick went down a couple of years ago too. Guess the NRL have their favourites

Yeah as a Roosters fan even I'm not a fan of the exemption.

On the reserves list you should always name a back, a half, and two forwards - or whatever combo gives you the best cover - to prepare for situations like this.

There should be no exemptions.

Teams that generically list 3 running forwards on their reserves list should pay the price for doing so.
