The NRL site also stated (in a preview) that the last meeting between these sides was won 32-6 by the Roosters. They get more wrong than right.

Edit: I think this stat is only in the NRL era or in recent years, since they show Panthers having played 0 matches at the ground.

We are shown as never having played at the venue, whereas we've played 10 (including 2 finals) for one win and one draw, the most recent visit there being in May 1987.
Was there when we had a 19 all draw V Balmain on that League-a-thon weekend in 1977 when every match was at the SCG in round 6.

Some notable try scorers.

So, Cronk and Cordner are out of this game. With no way that Easts can lose 2nd spot on the ladder, nor can they get the minor premiership, hopefully they have a "day off".

Now it's absolute must win and that means even more pressure. We haven't been good under pressure at all. We're going to get pumped.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has finalised his side to face Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Following Mitch Kenny's withdrawal with an elbow injury, Sione Katoa is promoted to starting hooker and Wayde Egan moves onto the bench at the expense of Jarome Luai.

20-year-old forward Billy Burns makes his NRL debut as Panther No.592.

As it was last week, and about 10 weeks before that, send Melbourne and the Rorters to the GF next weekend and just end this nonsense.

I'm expecting a 17000+ crowd again tonight going by the authentic average figures this year . Premiership favorites, so I'm sure every seat will be full...
Ummm well perhaps some 3rd party pre purchased tickets placed around the ground on the seats to try give the impression there is actually people there.

Be that as it may, but upsets can and do happen. But if your mob keep up the good form, you'll be in the mix.
