2019 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Any predictions on the challenge cup coming up this weekend ?
Very hard to predict as some teams will treat the matches like genuine trials and some will be in it to win it. Although this season is different as teams can only use 20 players per match and have to stay under 110 ppi points

I agree very hard to predict. For example if St Marys put a strong team up against wests they’ll probably flog them, but more likely they’ll treat it as a trial game.

Anyone seen team lists for St Marys v Wests this weekend?

The St Marys webmaster had to deal with the red hot issues like the internal trials for the under 6's and club merchandise but he finally got around to posting the team. Wests might be a chance, St Marys have added only 7 or 8 players to most of the guys that played Western Rams. No big names. The team is:

Alan Niulesa, Beau Mackey, Ben Cartwright, Blake McDermott, Brock Naden, Daniel Brown, Daniel Marjanovic, Dean Zammit, Dylan White, Emmanuel Petrus, Isaac Kennedy, Jake Butfield, Jake Gillett, Jesse Abbott, Joel Borg, John Faiumu, John Tuliatu, Matt Filipo, Matt Tomkins, Mose Felio, Paranas Bokuik, Tom Romer, Zane Blake

Big tripleheader on at Wentworth Park tomorrow. Sydney University plays Ryde Eastwood at 115pm, then Glebe-Burwood take on North Sydney (Flegg) at 3pm, followed by Newtown v Norths (ISP) at 5. Adult tickets are $10, kids under 16 free.

Wenty 34 Hills 20
Guildford led Brothers 42-0 at half time.

Hills looked more imaginative for a good portion of the game and still led into the second half. Hills kept control of the game through Harry Siejka's kicking game, Matt Gardner and Tim Robinson were solid in the forwards but the surprise packet was Treyvon Leuluai, who had to play SS for Guildford and Blacktown last year, but today made a lot of yards and pulled off many big hits.

I dropped in at Guildford on the way to Cabra and Brothers were woeful. Guildford had many RMC players in the game, including big guns Matt Ryan, Taniela Lasalo, Josh Lewis, Dom Reardon plus new recruit David Harris.

Dubbo CYMS 32 Cowra Magpies 12
Wyong 32 Macquarie Scorpions 16

The last round 1 game is at Tweed Heads tomorrow.

I wonder what sort of line up Brothers rolled out, perhaps they rested their stronger players

Challenge Cup - Tweed Heads Raiders 62 Coffs Harbour 0

Trials - SS Ryde Eastwood 40 Sydney Uni 22
Glebe Burwood 24 Norths Flegg 12

There are no Sharks or Roosters playing in the Norths/Newtown trial today so a good chunk of the 27 listed for Newtown will end up playing regularly with Glebe Burwood and similarly a number of the Norths side will be available for consideration by Asquith.

Any Sharks 20s playing for Sydney Uni ?
sounds like not and it could have been a few tertiary level players

No idea who played. A few SU guys that played in the tertiary side last year played for Japan in the Cabra 9's and looked SS standard.
