Apparently St Marys were disqualified for using 23 players in the game against Wests
Cabramatta SS def Asquith SS 2 tries to 1.Challenge Cup - Tweed Heads Raiders 62 Coffs Harbour 0
Trials - SS Ryde Eastwood 40 Sydney Uni 22
Glebe Burwood 24 Norths Flegg 12
There are no Sharks or Roosters playing in the Norths/Newtown trial today so a good chunk of the 27 listed for Newtown will end up playing regularly with Glebe Burwood and similarly a number of the Norths side will be available for consideration by Asquith.
Any news on Cabramatta squad for this weekend ? Nothing on Facebook yet.Cabramatta has posted details of all of its home games for 2019 on its facebook page.
Challenge Cup Round 2
Wests 30 Cabra 18
Guildford 38 Tweed Coast 8
Wyong 12 Wenty 6
Dubbo CYMS to play Glebe Burwood tomorrow.
The appointment of Darren Maroon as Wests coach has resulted in an influx of talent with 5 players from the Auburn Warriors 2017 Grand Final playing today - Omar Slaimankhel, Maniah Rudolp, Adrian Hangaana and Ahmed Ellaz havinh joining Avia Minute who was at wests in 2018. Another Auburn player, Hala Akhoula is also in the squad. It appears that about 8 Cabra players were in the Canterbury ISP side that lost 18-6 to a Wests Magpies side that 11 players from the Wests Tigers NRL squad.
Guildford rested their big guns, Matt Ryan, Taniela Lasalo and Josh Lewis today against the Northern Rivers champions who had won 62-0 in the first round. Apparently coach, Brent Kite is the only person that is paid by Tweed. They looked fit and running into the wind managed to hold Guildford to a 8-2 lead at half time but as the game progressed Guildford went further and further ahead. Tweed scored their only try early in the 4th quarter. Penani Manumanellii and Blake Judd played for Guildford today, so Guildford will have 5 players with 1st grade experience this year.
The Wenty team today was
1Josh Bergamin 2 Epa navale 3 Rydge Smith 4 Josh Minhinnick 5 Charlton Schaffhausen 6 Dylan Izzard 7 Beau Henry 8 Brendan Shoveller 9 Brad Keighran 10 Mitch Butfield 11 Haimona Hiroti 12 Nick Okladnikov 13 Joel Luani 14 Keiran Hayman 15 Josh Bermingham 16 Danny Howard 17 Jacob Esau 18 Drhys Miller 19 Liam Mulvihill 20 Blake Cook
If they played the Challenge Cup during the season the Ron Massey Cup teams would flog these country teams. During the preseason nearly all of the clubs have half their Ron Massey players doing ISP pre seasons and playing trial games there until round one.Dubbo CYMS leading Glebe Burwood 18-0 in the 1st quarter.

Final score Dubbo 38 Glebe Burwood 12
The GB team ( only 17 of allowable 20) was:
1 Harry Crocker 2 Michael Zakhia 23 Jack O'Brien 4 Nathan Graham 5 Corey Jefferies 6 Brock Pelligra 7 Matt Thomas 8 Rumone Jackson 22 Jazz Flavell 10 Isaac Prokopiou 11 Ryan Turner 12 Tess Talauli 13 J P Hanawe 20 Matt Mesaan 15 Nick Serafino 17 Soakmi Tuitavuke 18 Phenix Kasimausi
The 3 players that may be in the RMC side for round 1 are the two from Hills - Pelligra and Flavell and the central coast giant Prokopiou, although Flavell has strong competition for the hooker spot from T J McLean and Jackson Garlick.
Pelligra, Prokopiou, Hanawe and Turner all played for Newtown last week against Norths.
.

All the players in their combined SS and RMC squad will be playing on Sunday in the game against cabra or moorebank. The majority of the squad has at least one game already in the two previous trials the western rams u23’s and wests RMC.So what is St Marys doing? - are the going to play Cabra SS - will that be the only trial for their RMC players?
