So has Trent merrin actually had a family death or is it the usual nonsense to get out of a contract??

Seems good timing..

St Helens v Warrington should be a great game this week.

Fully expect Catalans to back up their big win with a flogging from Hull.

How the f**k do Catalans get flogged one week then look like world beaters the next
2018 Round 4 NZ Warriors 30 Sydney Roosters 6 (Allianz)
Round 5 Sydney Roosters 28 Sharks 10 (Woolooware)
Catalans are emulating the super club.

If anything they're emulating the Warriors. A constant enigma. Always a strong squad but never consistent.

Catalan vs Hull FC is another example of how sub par Super League refs are. Williame is going to need protection from his own fans today, what an idiot.

I can't believe what I just watched.

Catalans v Hull, a timeline.

68' Catalans try, 28-24 to Hull
76' Catalans NO try, worst obstruction call i've ever seen.
79' Catalans try + goal, 30-28 to Catalans

Then we have a sequence of events that only these dopey merkins or the NZ Warriors could engineer.

(Side note, Williame had already been yellow carded for a late high shoulder charge. So not his best day.)
With FOUR SECONDS on the clock, Hull kick short, and for reasons known only to him Williame catches it before the 10. Literally any other option, like "do nothing" would have a better outcome. Hull Penalty.
Sneyd nails it from 50. Golden point.

Hull kick off golden point and drill it over the sideline with Catalans completely unprepared.
Tackle 4 Sneyd nails an easy field goal.

f**ks sake

PS we all know the ruck is a total mess in Super League but this game was worse even than usual.

Defenders not getting out of the way. Dummy halves purposely tripping over players lying in the ruck for penalties is an epidemic. Sloppy play the balls everywhere.

They need to wipe all precedent and start fresh with ruck rulings. It's ugly and disruptive.

Wakey fell just short again last night. Losing 22-4 they stormed back in the second half but came up just short eventually losing 28-26. Catalans easily disposed of the Broncos in London cruising to a 39 points to 6 win.

It’s going to be a long rest of the season for the broncos as injuries and suspensions take their toll on a championship squad.

True. I felt Wakey were hard done to when Reynolds made the break with a couple of minutes to go when Trueman flopped all over him and got away with it scot free. They at least deserved a shot at goal to force GP.

2 major injuries in 3 weeks for Wigan with Tom Davies going off today with a broken & dislocated ankle.

Jake Shorrocks took a nasty hit at the end which apparently caused a loss of sensation in his arms & legs. Hope both recover as best as they can.

Betfred Super League fans have turned out in huge numbers this Easter to help set a new attendance record for the competition.

A total of 79,173 fans attended the six, Round 11 Betfred Super League matches played over Thursday and Good Friday with the clash between Wigan Warriors and St Helens attracting the biggest crowd over the two days with 22,050 at the DW Stadium.

Over 20,000 fans also enjoyed the Hull derby at the KC Stadium where Hull FC ran out winners over arch rivals Hull KR, the biggest crowd for a Hull FC home game since 2015. The round of matches kicked off on Thursday when 9,153 turned out to watch Castleford take on Wakefield Trinity in a nail-biting West Yorkshire Derby.

Warrington Wolves set a new home record for a game against Salford with 11,867 fans seeing Salford get a 36-12 win against the form book.

Leeds Rhinos claimed a much needed 38-18 win, that sees them move off the foot of the table, against Huddersfield Giants at Emerald Headingley in front 13,743 fans.

The total attendance for the games beats the previous record for a 12 team Super League set in Round 25 of the 2007 season when 78,917 turned out.

Robert Elstone, Chief Executive, Super League said:

“I should start by thanking the fans who turned out in record breaking numbers. Easter is traditionally one of the biggest weekends in the Super League calendar but to break the attendance record underlines the scale and loyalty of our fan base, and the support we have from Clubs and supporters on the changes brought into Super League this season.”

St Helens and England hooker James Roby, added;

“A Good Friday Derby is always a special game in the calendar and to see so many Saints fans make the trip to the DW Stadium was incredible and created a fantastic atmosphere. On behalf of the team, I want to say a big thank you to the fans for turning out in such huge numbers and showing their support not just for St Helens but for Super League too.”

Betfred Super League resumes on Easter Monday with leaders St. Helens taking on Hull FC and second place Warrington Wolves travel to Humberside to play Hull KR. At the other end of the table, Leeds Rhinos will look to get back to back Easter wins with a victory at Wakefield whilst London Broncos will look to bounce back to winning ways as they travel to the John Smith’s stadium to play Huddersfield Giants.

Attendances for the games on Thursday and Good Friday:

Castleford Tigers v Wakefield Trinity - 9,316

London Broncos v Catalans Dragons - 2,153

Hull FC v Hull KR - 20,044

Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants - 13,743

Warrington Wolves v Salford Red Devils - 11,867

Wigan Warriors v St Helens - 22,050

You can always rely on Rovers to put in a sht performance when we need it most! Sheens must be getting close to the end, the players attitude in that second half was disgraceful, a record score by a very bog average fc side.
