This would be the best thing for Rugby League.

There would be 1 benefit to increasing to 14 SL teams, and that's the ability to remove the stupid loop fixtures without impacting the amount of home games, with a 27-game home+away+magic season.

It's hard to see how they could afford to fund another 2 clubs without major cuts somewhere else. And cutting League One would not nearly cover 2 more Super League teams. More likely every club's grant funding would have to be reduced across the board.

Almost the perfect storm of results at the weekend. Hull won, Rovers lost, Leeds lost, London won. the only downers were Saints robbing Salford with a blatant knock on and London shipping late points which meant Hull KR were spared bottom spot.

They are the poster boys for inconsistency!, when they are good they are very very good, but when they are bad they are horrid.
They only need be missing one or two key men and they go completely to pot.
