I hope when all of this is over people no longer take their team for granted and actually fill the stands. We’ll surely see a boost to crowds once fans are allowed in again - it’s up to the clubs and the fans to maintain it.

We will see an initial increase but the same issues like stadiums, times, sydney traffic, prices etc. will still be present.

One thing should be vitally clear to the administrators of the game and the clubs... the fans are the most important ingredient for the game and should never again be taken for granted.

Yeh, the NRL need to make a big deal of getting people back into the stadiums and trying to build on this over time

Forgot to get my crowd predictions in this week. Good to have the footy back.

I'm predicting 0 for the rest of the games. Gonna put a dent in the averages...

With the rapidly changing COVID policies of both federal and state governments I thought this deserved its own thread.

Reportedly QLD will allow 25% capacity at stadiums as soon as this weekend

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.ne...d/news-story/d6944dec3144b102c2e1482f03142ff6

That article is specific to AFL but should apply to all sports.

There are no games in QLD this week but next week titans have a home game and the following week both Brisbane and cowboys do.

The article also says Victoria will allow crowds in the next few weeks too.

I see no reason to not be optimistic that by round 10 (the first round where venues are TBA) all clubs will be back at their normal home grounds with crowds.
