Cummins did call 6 again and must have changed his mind on the touchies advice but wtf did the touchie see lmao how did he imagine that play went. The ball obviously got knocked into Ponga

The touchie was 8m behind the play. How he called offside is anyone’s guess.

That and do they use those flags?

Knights really need to get to the break without conceding points so the coach can remind them of the game plan.

Is Mitchell Pearce actually a robot. I mean that was a half decent kick but hes just been robotically putting up bombs

Referees definetly cop a lot of unfair heat from fans/media

but when you see shit like that it’s hard to run defence for them
Overall I think refs do a great job. They will never be perfect and there will always be human error or rules that they have no control over which screws them over.

But that one just before was absolutely pathetic. What was going through his mind to give Souths a penalty after he gave six again after the knock on? The only thing I can think of was that the voice in his ear distracted him.

The touchie got it right, it was offside. Cummins f**ked up by not going back to the original knock on.

The touchie did his job right, because they did need to stop play, the offside by the Knights meant play could not continue.

Actually you are 100 percent right. The touchie was telling Cummins to go back to the knock on.

Newcastle have received 2 set restarts this half so I can only assume south’s will get 300 in the second half
They'll actually accumulate 7 or 8 during the halftime break and be allowed to start the second half with 56 consecutive tackles with the ball...
