Panthers will walk this in 13+.

Honestly I don't understand how anyone can actually call this game a coin toss. Panthers 1 loss all year. Souths lost to the spooners only a month ago.
I'm sure you thought it would be an easy game the week after that

We've scored 296 in our past 8 matches. That's why it's being talked up. As you said though, our defence doesn't hold a candle to yours and is the test.

IMO this match is more about Penrith's mental fortitude than anything.

And lost 2 of those 8. Good form don't get me wrong but not as outstanding as some in the media would have you believe

the guy can't help it, runs in the family.

see's a minor scuffle he wants to escalate it; player lying on the ground his first thought is to step on their head. Wankers never change.

Yes well he is a major reason that it is hard to be on the Penrith bandwagon this time. Unlike 03 when they were full of nice guys and feel good stories.

Pressure and expectation does strange things. I've watched my team lose 4 prelim finals in 8 years (even if we weren't always favourites). Souths will be out to put them off their game and make them do silly things. About the worst thing they could do is mouth off or start any niggle. If they just play their footy they're tough to beat.

In saying that, it's all about defence for Souths. Our attack is sublime and our middle has been terrific all year, but our edges are shaky. Crichton and Yeo the big dangers IMO.

I think it'll either be a close win to the Rabbitohs or a big win to the Panthers.

TBF you were the higher seed and/or host for only one of those losses and that was against a very strong Manly side although at 16-0 up they should have won.

First it was the players, then the supporters, now the players again. Honestly, jump on whatever bandwagon you like but don't burden the rest of us with your issues.

Eh, the only one I can’t abide is the 5/8. The very definition of average but plays with a shit eating grin as though he is a superstar, celebrates like a dick, and grubs it up whenever he can.

basically he is Rapana playing in the halves

Scintillating attack when allowed to run, no doubt about it, but the Roosters game can be discounted as they didn't even want to win, and the Knights and Parra played really dumb after getting in front early. Rather than play it tight they tried to play touch football against a team much more adept at it and forgot all about defensive structure. If we fall for Souffs rope-a-dope tactics we'll get our arse kicked too.

Does Rapana have 22 try assists?

appears your falling for Kent lines on Knights and Parra games.

for starters ,

Knights flew out of the blocks , early mistakes by Souths . The game changed because Souths started to get even possession of ball and stopped the mistakes and then placed pressure on Knights , who could not handle it.

As for Eels game.....really. First 10 minutes , it was Souths , leading 8 nil and looking easy. Some applied pressure , back to back 6 calls and 6 minutes of brilliance for Eels and score 18-8. Eels had all the ball , tackle count was Souths 50 sh to < 5 . After that for balance of half , it was Souths putting pressure and building ......no further score until halftime.

Nothing to do with Eels making mistakes , it was the game getting into a grind, which Souths always looked stronger. That continued into second half , where Souths completed and luck went Souths way in the Sirro play and intercept try.

Souths defence strengthened in both games after the opponent early scoring period.Listening to Kent rant too much.

Your argument has little logic.

First .....if Panthers win by 13 plus , it will not be bacause they "walk this in".
Second ... this is FINALS football , what happened in first 20 rounds , only gets the team to this game. It is a new game , 17 men against 17.
Third ... Panthers only lost 1 all year..... big deal. I know when Souths lost to Panthers earlier in the year , Souths made so many mistakes , dropped balls etc YET Souths still were in the game.It was a loss I attributed to Souths mistakes , same as Bulldogs loss.
fourth... Bulldogs are not the spooners , dope.
Fifth ...Souths mistakes/sinbin contributed to loss to Bulldogs , who played well that night. I suppose you would have used your logic as to why roosters would smash Souths in the next game. LOL

Slight favouritism to Panthers , due to their week break. However winner will be the team that minimises ball mistakes and executes , and has the better of injury and luck.

And that just happened right? Nothing to do with being put under pressure by the defence, exactly as Parra and Newc didn't do. If Kent says the same thing, well I have to agree with him but it aint half obvious. The score in that game was flattering to the losers because Cleary had a poor day with the boot. At 12-6 it was three tries to one.
