You guys tipping the Eels need to remember that we are missing:

Mitchell Moses
Kane Evans
Blake Ferguson
Junior Paulo
Ryan Matterson

Manly by as many tries as Bradley Parker, Esq. desires to defeat us by.

Brad Parker has PTSD from Rava last week.

Seeing Sivo and Fergo simply get off the team bus might be enough for Parra to be playing against 16 men.

Why is DCE so horribly out of form? Even missing Tommy for large periods last year he played really well but seems off his game at the moment.

George Jennings is one of the worst first graders I’ve ever seen. Him and Blake on the right edge is going to be a huge problem for us tonight.

We're merkined. Due a loss, half the side out, George Jennings, Waqa Blake and Brad Takairangi on the same edge...

On the plus side Manly are just as merkined so it'll be a "thriller"

isn’t Paulo playing?

I would 100% take those outs over manly missing Turbo, Walker, AFB + a few bench forwards

Also back up fullback Albert Hopoate only just returning from an ACL injury, not getting to get miles in the legs because no reserves hurts, because Elliot.

Besides, Paulo's stats this year are just as good as Fonua-Blake's - he's as big a loss to us, as he is to them.

Love him or hate him, Moses is our first string, goal-kicking halfback - huge loss for us.

Manly are missing a few, too - but I would call it pretty even.

Because of Manly’s outs they have to play subhumans like Elliot, Gosiewski, and Levi. Think they’ve got it worse.

oh absolutely Paulo’s been huge this year and be a big loss, Mattersons one of the best edge back towers in the game, and any starting 7 missing is a loss

Both Parra and Manly are very good sides at full strength, however have squads that have been put together very differently. To me parramatta are a more solid team across the park, whereas manly are a side with a few big stars mixed in with journey men/fringe first grade quality.

Manly find it harder to cover these big stars as their cap is tied up in them so the quality drops fairly quickly after that. Whereas Parras cap is spread more evenly so that the first blokes called up aren’t Brendan Elliot/Jack Goweski quality

Meh. Manly should be used to picking subhumans. Terry Hill and John Hopoate are club legends...

Fair enough!

I am not confident if we are missing Moses, Paulo, Matterson, and Ferguson:

* Field has done a good job filling in, but his kicking game is nowhere near Moses'

* Paulo is just so strong, and creative, and we can replace him with a workhorse, but nobody that can have his level of impact

* Matterson has been huge this year, but he is probably the most easily replaced - as gokd as Matterson has been, Marata Niukore cab replace him for a game, or two

* Ferguson hasn't scored any tries this season, but he has been immense coming out of our own end; George Jennings is not on the same level

I guess being an Eels fan, I've been conditioned to think the worst of my team for years, and years, and with a few players out, I start to think we are no chance.

But Manly are arguably worse off - Trbojevic is arguably one of the top fullbacks in the world, and Fonua-Blake has been on fire in 2020, and I'm not sure they have the depth that we do.

Still - as an Eels fan, I have been traumatised into thinking the worst!
