You can’t stand in the line, they’ve ruled that way for years now
Well, technically they stood a long way in front of the line, they never moved, and the line moved up to them. And those players who moved up to them didn't come close to making a tackle.
So if that is the precedent, the defenders need to run up to attacking players standing still, and they'll get a penalty every time.
I'd like to think no part of the officiating so far this match will set a precedent, though.
