I just saw the Townsend send off.

Geez, it was a strong hit but was it high? No. A shoulder charge? I'd say yes.

Not a send off.

It was after the ref had blown the whistle to tell Ponga ro go back and tap the ball on the mark. Play was dead, Ponga relaxed and was blind-sided by Chad, who for some unknown reason decided to ignore the whistle.

Sharks are carrying on tonight

Kinda reminds of that night against the Eels that Peachey got sent off for talking with his hands and the Sharks decided to stop playing and start grubbing it up, ended up losing 74-4.

The carry on tonight was a bit like that, and if the game went another 20 minutes I reckon the score would have been similar too.

This Year?

Disgusting from the Sharks. It's a shame because if they bothered to play instead of doing that rubbish they could have put the top 8 beyond any doubt.

Well done Knights for actually playing rugby league.

The Knights crowd is proper loud with their booing. You sure he heard the whistle?

It’s already been a long few years of ridiculous, nauseating Ponga-worship by commentators and so many years to come

Lol @ people claiming shoulder to the head, shoulder charge to his chest.
It did seem late, but you can see the ref still blowing the whistle in the background.

If that’s the standard of foul play needed for send off, there will be plenty more this year.
