If Keary does play, it'd be bordering on negligence not to have some hero smash him as hard as he can in the ribs after a kick, even if it's late and we have to concede a penalty. Someone who might have a history of playing on an edge, and who if he got it too wrong, we could survive without for a few weeks, whose name rhymes with Yudson Houng

I don't think he will play.

Being a rib injury you want it 100% right before returning and it only occurred a couple of weeks ago.

This match is not the be all and end all for the roosters that the media will make it out to be. With our superior F/A we need only win the same amount of games as the raiders in the final 4 to finish 4th. Raiders definitely have a loss (if not 2) in them before end of season even if one of them isn't against us.

Our final 4 matches - Canberra (A), Newcastle (H), Cronulla (H), Souths (A).

Canberra's final 4 matches - Roosters (H), St. George-Illawarra (A), Warriors (A), Cronulla (A).

Souths final 4 matches - Storm (H), Wests (A), Bulldogs (H), Roosters (H).

If we lose to the Raiders (Keary or no Keary) we need to win all 3 of our remaining 3 games (none of which you can count as gimmes) and hope Canberra will drop 2 of their matches as we will be 2 points behind them on the ladder. That is no guarantee of happening either. So it is a must win game cause it is very tight between 4th and 6th with bonly 2 points separating 3 clubs (us, Canberra and Souths).

Whether Keary plays or not will depend on how he comes through contact drills this week. If there is any soreness then based on how the club have handled players, I very much doubt Trent Robinson will pick him.

So you just assume Canberra will lose 1 or 2 games because?
Because Roosters are your side and you want them in the top 4.
Easts have a much tougher run home than Canberra.

Well at least you comprehended what I was saying this time.

I believe Canberra have not been great the last few weeks thus will lose one of their last 4 games even if it isn't against us. it is just an opinion that of course could be wrong

Canberra would only need to lose one match in the event they beat us this week and we win our last 3.

We are essentially on 22.5 points given our F/A thus Canberra need this far more than we do. If we win they have almost 0 chance of finishing top 4 given they would have to win their last 3 games and hope we lose twice or win 2 of 3 and hope we lose all 3.

Typical Roosters fan discounting the possibility of a Raiders win by 130 points.

Raiders have an easier last 3. This is more than likely a playoff for 4th place.

All these teams tearing each others eyes out just to be able to stand on Panthers Stadium in week 1. And you wonder why we're insufferable.

The Raiders last three opponents have been the Broncos, Titans and Bulldogs.

All big wins at full time but incredibly they were losing two of those clashes at half time.

So I've no idea what to make of their form. Not particularly flash I suspect.

If Keary is back then I reckon we win well with an imposing finals like performance.

Because we are mental midgets we tend to play at our opponents level

But still roosters should be too good.

Is it really?

We both play sharks.

Raiders have warriors and us knights and didn't warriors just flog them by 30?

Souths is harder than saints.

Most would be happier with that match up over an away trip to QLD to play the cheats being reffed by Smith.

Don’t rule out both Raiders and Roosters making the top 4 at the expense of the Eels.

The Eels are dropping faster than a Hindmarsh third man flop.

Yeah definitely.

Due to F/A raiders probably have to win this week for that to happen.

EDIT:

Raiders are only 9 points behind on F/A. Had no idea it was that close.
