I'm not particularly happy with the skill level but Manly showed plenty of guts tonight.

The final score is a fair reflection tbh.

The illusion is created by Tommy T being tackled as he releases the ball. If he continued running as he passed it would have been clearly backwards

he was running on a diagonal not straight forward, which is why it looks, and is forward.

Would have been nice to see your early defensive efforts rewarded at the end. Holding on wIth the Eels early could have (and was) the difference.

It's a good side.

Got Melbourne, the Roosters and the Eels out of the way now as well which is good.

That video that @some11 posted above is a good one and shows why the ball must go backwards types have a poor understanding of physics. If a player runs at pace and throws the ball up in the air behind him it will travel forward with momentum from its starting position
