Games like this can't make it any more obvious that Ponga is behind Tedesco, Turbo Tom and RTS as the best fullback. He is not making any effort at all on either sides of the ball.

I liked Brent Tate as a player but as a commentator it's annoying when he does NQL games. Did anyone hear him say about how Ponga took a classy option when he just kicked the ball away on the 4th tackle or when he was going on about Pearce hasn't put anything on when he has had no chances too due to his sides inability to complete a set and his best chance was robbed when McCullogh decided to go himself with nothing on, on tackle 5.

On a different note Kyle Feldt has to be one of the first picked players for the Maroons this year. He has been a superb consistent performer for a while now. Deserves his chance for sure.

Edwards and Mitchell as well on today's form. And a few others.

The tall poppy syndrome with Ponga is bizarre....his experienced and rep level forwards are getting reamed, his alleged star halfback is MIA, but the young fullback is the one copping it. RL fans are strange folk
Tall poppy syndrome is as Australian as vegemite or a sick day.

So really it's not that surprising at all.
