The other player in the No. 1 mix is Edene Gebbie. He's an explosive fullback and has a step to split any team wide open. If he can handle the rise in class, he will be a sensation.

Just be aware mate he’s on a development contract so I believe he can’t play first grade until June 30, 2020. I’d say he will light up CC especially at Redfern Oval, but he could be on the wing as Allan could very well be fullback in CC.

I like what I’ve seen from Gebbie in regards to energy and work rate. Just be aware though he had a less than 50percent tackling efficiency in QLD Cup last season and he’s got errors in him.

Whether he makes first grade remains to be seen but I look forward to what Bennett and Demetriou can do with him, at the worst we have ourselves a very good CC player.

If he does make first grade expect diamonds and rocks to start with, I think he’d be one of these players who learns as he goes rather than learning by words so to speak as is the case in most of these PNG and Fijian players.

So what happened with Issac Luke?
He left us high and dry as we released Apisai Koroisau to accomodate his 3/4 year contract.Then after we accommodated him he decided he was home sick and wanted out.
He must have gotten over his homesickness as he has signed up with the Dragons.
Just goes to show, contracts are worth nothing!

Issac will always hold a special place in my heart, I’m glad another club has picked him up for another season and I wish him all the very best with the Dragons.

I think you’ll find Luke didn’t get over his homesickness but rather the Warriors didn’t want him there anymore. Besides the odd couple of games, Luke is no where near the player he used to be.

I agree, plus from what I’ve heard most of his family are diehard Souths supporters.

I’d say there is a fair chance we can get him for 2020, I don’t think Easts want an unhappy player on a good amount of money at their club. They said they wouldn’t release him to us, but do we really believe that? Imo for Easts it wouldn’t be the best look on their part.

I don’t think Latrell is worth a million though, hopefully if we make an offer to him our offer is a bit less than that 1mil figure.

Latrell will have to put in and work really hard, I’m sure Wayne wouldn’t just hand him the 1 jersey, he’d have to fight hard for it with Douiehi which could be a good thing and bring out the best in one another.

I’m starting to become more confident than I was on that Southy.

Surely Easts won’t keep Latrell and play him for Norths if he signs with us, it wouldn’t be a good look and I’m sure they’d like to free up his salary as soon as they can.

Obviously if Cody or Reyno go down imo the next best half we have for 2020 to fill in there is Douiehi. I guess it’s great for us he is so versatile.

He actually played for Wynnum and needs to learn a lot about staying in position to make it in first grade. He has natural talent but is very green and it’s quite a big leap from the Intrust cup to NRL. I hope he succeeds.
Just look at Corey Allan - you all had him as the next GI this time last year.
