lol.. BC's QB fumbles from the snap twice to end both of the last two BC drives and hand Clemson the win.

QB roundup:

It felt like this was coming, but still a slight surprise... Spencer Rattler got benched this morning. Caleb Williams looked good, too. Gotta imagine that takes Rattler out of the class altogether, and into the transfer portal.

Malik Willis had a 3 INT game against Middle Tennessee, didn't see them yet but there are still some reports coming out of the game that he played well so I'm guessing some of them might have been on someone else.

Corral looked good again vs Arkansas. Strong playing later today. Worth throwing Desmond Ridder in there at this point - he's been looking very good, and did again yesterday (albeit in a situation where they were favoured by a *lot*).

Spencer Rattler finally got benched today & Caleb Williams brought Oklahoma back and won vs Texas

Never seen a top prospect with all this hype melt down like this, he’s been awful

Boise state ruins BYU play off hopes. These 2 teams have a habit of upset wins against each other to spoil the party.

Iowa edges Penn State. I don't think Penn State loses anything here in a narrow loss in what was a true road game. If they win out from here they will still get in especially because that would include a big 10 championship game against Iowa.

A&M just took a 2 score lead over Alabama for the end of the first quarter - iiiiiinteresting.

A&M's defense is f**king rolling. Forced 2 turnovers so far... even overcame a short field after a bad interception from Calzada. 17-10 A&M, 5 minutes away from halftime.

24-10 A&M - with a backup QB - over Alabama at halftime.

Spiller has worked his backside off on offense, Calzada has been good apart from that one shocking pass for the INT, and the defense has absolutely smothered Bama so far.

Are we about to see another upset?

Questionable call in Alabama's favour there. Got a TD on a blocked punt - despite the punter getting contacted (is that just an NFL rule? I don't think so...) and the dude who recovered in the endzone had the ball still moving in his hands after he hit the ground (then went out). Reviewed and stands.

Another dodgy call for Alabama there... no intentional grounding (it was pretty f**king clear, stopped a sack deep in their half with nobody close).

edit: and they end up scoring on that drive, zebras starting to have a significant effect on this game (both of the last two Bama tds...)

So apparently Rattler was on QB1 (doc on Netflix) and was an insufferable dick, terrible attitude. People seem quite happy he's out beyond just not being able to operate the OU offense.

Gotta think that's his potential NFL career all but gone too... if you can't look good with Lincoln Riley against Big 12 defenses how tf are you supposed to survive in the NFL?

Last two drives... holding on Alabama that would've extended A&M's drive, not called.

Next drive Evan Neal never got set, no call and Alabama gets a TD.

There was a daft penalty on A&M a couple of drives before this run as well to get Bama closer to the endzone on 3rd down.

This is getting silly.

A&M strikes back, but Calzada gets rolled up on as he threw the pass and doesn't look good.

3rd string is a walk on who hasn't played a snap in college yet. What a game to come in on, if it happens.

38-38, 3 minutes left.

Calzada returned and throwing strikes. They're in range, time to burn clock/Bama timeouts and try to get a little closer.

Huuuuge DPI on Bama cb.

Yes!

A&M kick the field goal, times up, 41-38 A&M > Bama

Even after a bunch of shit calls against them, their starting QB not playing, their backup QB getting injured and coming back, their star RB getting injured and coming back... wow. First time a former Saban assistant has beaten him as a HC, too.

Sidenote - Saban's game management was awful in this one. End of both halves he didn't use his timeouts effectively, and twice didn't go for it on 4th & 1s despite his OL being really good. He really earned this loss.

So Georgia take #1 ranking. Iowa will be #2. Will be very interesting after that. Does Oklahoma jump Cincinnati (struggled with Texas, but the outlook post-Rattler is probably more positive than the early struggles in that game)? Does Bama drop below the 5-0 Cincinnati?

If Cincy get into the top 4 it's going to be very hard not to pick them in the playoffs (they've only got 2 even remotely tough games left on their schedule, so likely going undefeated), even despite being group of 5.

Anyway, just in time for the Wilder/Fury bout.
