Scott Sorensen's 7 years incident free saved him $375. CHN's 7 years incident free saved him a week's suspension plus 50 carryover points, because his offence was greater. Sounds fair, not.
Seven years incident free should completely wipe out a grade 1 fine, IMHO.
Lower grades are counted.Personally I’m still trying to figure out how CHN qualified for 7 years incident free after only 5 seasons in first grade
First Angus Crichton the other week, now Koloamatangi. Absolute rubbish charges for nothing incidents and only serves to encourage players to game more penalties. MRC has lost the plot.
You can blame the Melbourne Storm for most of these illegal tackles. They introduces them to the game.Crusher penalties/charges are largely a blight on the game.
The base points were upped for when crushers used to be when the defender left their feet and landed down with their weight. It's absolute rubbish that we now charge defenders for the attackers turning in the tackle and a split-second of pressure. The base penalty for a grade 1 crusher is way too harsh.
Just like high shots, crushers can be accidents and need to be treated accordingly.
