QLD shouldn't be able to even compete if you look at those sides on paper but if there's ever a team that loves being the underdog, written off, backs to wall, can barely field a team.. etc, it's QLD

The one thing I remember and changed my view on betting on NRL as a whole was when QLD had that unbelievable team, there were many times during those series where NSW were actually playing the better footy but the class of our backline got them late in the game, it may very well be the same again tonight but as a punter, I'm a bit hesitant to slip into the 1.60 for NSW to win 13+

Haha Queensland are still trying to break the much clearer eligibility rules. Hats off to the NSWRL for waiting until the 11th hour to notify the NRL to really throw Queensland's preparations into dissaray.

I've never said this before but well played NSWRL!

One thing not mentioned is Ronaldo wasn’t focussed on until he rushedinto the team at the last minute. Now maybe Blair does have an injury. But it would be straight from the QLD playbook to always be of the view that he wouldn’t play and just trying to play ducks and drakes. No, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but after Peter has cried wolf so many times I have trouble believing him. If that is the case (and I recognise it is an if, but one plausible given previous behaviours) I have little sympathy for the QRL.

I do have a lot of sympathy for Ronaldo though. You would hope that he knew the eligibility criteria himself, but it is not unreasonable for him to believe his employer if they said he was right to play. Feel for the kid.
