Thurston did what he did because he knew he could get away with it. In the era of $10,000 fines for even questioning a referees performance Thurston basically questioned the integrity of the ref, touchy, video ref by suggesting they all conspired against the cowboys to ensure an all Sydney grand final and somehow was not cautioned. Let's be real here if someone like Joey Leilua said something along those lines he's probably be deregistered

Protected Species.

Mitchell Moses reminds me of Johnathan Thurston with his behaviours on the field when something doesn't go his way. That look of "incredulous disbelief" and arguing with the ref.... But while Moses has been labelled for it by many, Thurston had teflon on his jersey... Moses to my knowledge never headbutted/elbowed his opposition nor went public after the game with his complaints in press conferences. Thurston did all those... but nothing..... must have been "Pashun"..

No I don't understand. A bunch of what ifs and then a whole lot of jibber jabber... I think about manufacturing some centres from Brimson / Ponga / Walsh. I agree the Qld pack can and will get better with Grant back, as a start. But you've completely missed the biggest factor in your drivel. The coach just doesn't get origin, maybe lacking a little pashun and spiwit.
Gould said origin is dead as QLD has no talent coming through.
I said that’s bullshit as they had ample opportunities to score, just missed the polish to finish off, combined with NSW‘s desperation in defence.
QLD has talent to come back into this side. They are not dead and buried as some commentators are saying.
Call it drivel all you like but this point has now been backed up by Freddy himself!
Understand now princess? It’s an opinion.

In the same way Brucks gets found out when he's man on man with Hawk, Gagai has been found out when there's not that once in a generation Qld backline to run off.
I still don’t get the reference but yes, I agree Gagai was targeted and brilliantly exposed. Well done Freddy.

I think you need a lie down mate, this origin loss has really gotten to you. They had **** all chances to score as evidenced by putting on 1 try in 160 minutes of football. Freddy doesn't want to poke the bear so of course he's not going to rustle Qld jimmies. Of course it's an opinion and people, including me, are allowed to challenge it.

Thurston, for all the good stuff he did on the field and off it as a cowboy, giving kids his headgear and all that great stuff…

was the biggest sulk and worst winner/loser IMO. Many bag Cameron Smith for many reasons - but win lose or draw… he always spoke with respect and professionalism about his opponents. The Sharks GF win was a prime example… couldn’t have been more magnanimous.

On the other hand, Thurston was a spoilt brat. In victory (the Pearce comment) or in defeat (elbowing then head butting Reynolds in the dying stages of their first series loss in ages).

Happy to be in the minority if that’s the case, but IMO Thurston is the biggest tool Qld has produced in state of origin this century…
Just remembered after the 2019 decider on the panel JT said "NSW were probably the better team tonight" when they were clearly a level above Qld and it was only a convenient escort penalty against Frizell that brought them back into the contest at all

Contrast this with the Game 1 post-match a few weeks back when Wally straight up said the Blues had just delivered the best performance he'd seen from a NSW side in Origin history and called them "class". This from a guy who has played in/ coached/ watched every Origin match since 1980 and arguably epitomises the State of Origin Narrative more than any other player past or present.
