There's the game, Eshay scores. Pretty gutless from Manly. Clearly not nearly as good as their ladder spot indicates, unfortunately
Hindsight is 20/20, but some, like myself had Manly as cannon fodder. You only had to look at the form guide and who they were kicking the shit out of over the past few months.

The media print and TV, has been driving this Manly bus very hard since SOO, and with good reason. But now it's the business end of the season and the reality is setting in. At least Manly play on for next week, so it still all good.

It really is a massive shame for Rugby League. Comp is just a slightly rougher version of the EPL these days, so predictable
Well maybe the 10 teams who played like bitches this year, including yours and mine, will have a f**ken go next year…

I can't see Manly going out in straight sets though.

Can anyone translate this? All I can see is this:

Smug. Smug smug smug, smuggy smug smug. Smug smug smug.

I know I'm biased and we could get equally belted tomorrow but how the heck has this Manly team been rated ahead of Souths by literally every commentator or media personality?
Good on them for finishing 4th but I can’t believe there has been no real commentary on the ease of their draw. Ultimately they finished on the same points as us which isn’t anything to brag about. If nothing else they haven’t been really challenged since origin so I suspected they’d be underdone for semis. They’ll rightly be favourites ahead of Titans or us but don’t see them progressing further than that.

The storm cutting the broncos grass since all the pre storm great broncos players retired is the best thing about them.

Long may they rule Queensland

Happens every year

Storm and Roosters are so successful in finals because the shit they get pinged for all year stops being a penalty

You could see the shift in ruck interpretation directly after Origin. Sutton was / is the only consistent ref ATM.

The good King vlandys by making offside a six again handed bellamy a rule to exploit.

Early in the tackle count what's the negative for the storm to rush out the line to get strong defensive momentum in the tackle? Maybe an extra tackle or two ?

They gain what they lose by stopping go forward early in the set. The attacking side is on the back foot even with the extra tackles.

It's high reward low risk play.

The worst rule change I can remember

Just another example of them going too far when trying to address a perceived issue.

If they believe teams are offside on purpose on their own line to stop momentum then just make it a 6 again in the respective red zones.
