He practices hitting post with a curve that offers a backup plan for a miss. His goal was to hit the post but his kick curves so its alive to be chased.

The kick is intentional. But his goal was to hit the post. He's practising trick shots with ahigher Percentage chance of paying off even if his kick misses.

He did a couple recently for a try and a drop out. Both hit post though.

IMO this game will probably come down to a penalty in the last 5 minutes.
