Can Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow defend in the centres?

He struggled in that 1st half of the trial against the Donkeys.
Told ya!

He doesn't know when to hold his position, when to slide or when to come out of the line.

Then there's Hess. The bloke isn't an 80 minute player. Fatigue sets in and he starts making handling errors, falling off tackles and not sliding to cover gaps when the ball is transitioned from the far side to his corridor. He needs to be used as an impact player off the bench, coming on field around the 25th minute mark to replace Taumalolo to play the final 15 minutes of the 1st half and 1st 15 minutes of the 2nd half. Use him as a battering ram in short bursts.

Granville should shift to 2nd row and scoot from dummy half when there's a quick ruck.

Massive money for stinkers like McGuire and Maclean also.

Woe to the republic.

Maclean has been a flop. McGuire is a plodder.

Fox post game praising panthers like they’d played the perfect game...

Payten more realistic.,, they should have had 50 out on them.
The only improvement from the Cowboys on previous seasons was their scramble defence. Line speed, marker defence, tight posts and kick chase were weak as piss.

Clifford has the physical attributes to be great but doesn't have a play maker's brain. Morgan is having a bludge at the end of sets when he's needed most.

Feldt plays like some one who just smoked marijuana.

Can some one tell me why Clifford is in the side when he's signed with Newcastle for 2022?

Wouldn't it make more sense to play Drinkwater in the halves?

I honestly think Clifford guesses with his playmaking.....he has absolutely no idea...and has never been very good.
Morgan had a very lazy match last night. Way too lazy for a million dollar player.

was horrible last night. Tackled on the last several times during goodball. That's an absolute killer, and your middles are going to lose faith with you fairly quickly when they're the ones that ultimately get punished with the turnover. Mistakes happen, but an NRL half repeatedly going down with the ball is extremely poor. At least look to get the toe on the boot and look for pressure points. It's no wonder effort areas particularly in defence, went downhill for them as the game went on.

Payten has a bloke on good money playing wing. Move Holmes to FB, Drinkawater to the halves with Morgan at HB to take the reins. Cowboys owe Clifford nothing considering he's leaving at end of season

I'd put the Hammer at 1 or at least swap things round with Val during a game.

Looks like Paytens got his work cut out for him, should have stayed with NZ. Did like him calling out Taulmalolos poor defensive efforts in the press conference though.

It would be interesting to have seen Taulmalolos reaction to that. Ballsy move from Payton. I liked it.

The one worry about Drinkwater at 6 is his defence. In attack though, a lot better option than Clifford.
They could always play Drinkwater first receiver in attack and slot him in at fullback in defence. Maybe play Clifford as a running fullback in attack and third defender in the first line of defence.
