If Burns doesn't get badly injured in 2019, one of Gagai or Graham remain on a wing. Don't be surprised if Burns gets renewed and starts round 1 next year.

Another option at centre is Milne with either Mansour or Paulo on the wing.

Maybe even Latrell at centre with Ta'affe at FB.

There's enough options in the squad now to not need to go to the market. Going to market every time there is a gap isn't a move that equals success. It's been holding back Wests, StGI and Newcastle for years.

Look at where these players are going. Brisbane, StGI and Newcastle. Teams that haven't been relevant for a while and are trying to buy their way in. StGI are the best of those three and that's down to the coach IMO. They might play finals next year but they won't contend.

Cronk said it last year Reyno does not have the x-factor to go all the way again, I hope he is wrong for this year though

Gags is the recipient of Cody’s and Latrells good play so not phased

SuA = MIA 9/10 times

now we have cap space to upgrade players and entice a marquee

would love to see Finucane if possible

Buying doesn't equal success. Building and developing does.
Cant agree with u on this one,you have to do both, pinch juniors from around,tie your good ones up and buy what u need, props we dont have, wingers and centres as well,got lots of halves coming through

Agree and that’s what Souths have done investing in six juniors

but using your argument we would not have Mitchell
The investment in juniors is wasted if their path to first grade is blocked by cast offs from other clubs because we're afraid of dropping away.

Mitchell was signed to play FB for a team with premiership aspirations. Souths are now further from a premiership than they were before his arrival. I'm not blaming Latrell for that but the team hasn't kicked on.

That's not correct.
Last year was Souths' best chance of the three previous years, and Latrell was part of the team for most of the season. And even with Latrell getting injured towards the end, it was still their best chance in the last three years, the way the finals draw panned out.

And they are still a chance this year.
