If you are right I think a bigger disgrace than offering AR a 1 yr contract is offering Taaffe no contract. In the Charity Shield Taaffe’s positional defence at FB is the best I’ve seen since Slater. He should be our future half. If he’s not in our thinking it’s a crying shame.

B) An extra season with player option for year after
C) plus more.

He’s a world class half back, he’s clutch as clutch can be, he hardly makes a mistake, is composed, wins games, has all the gifts and is healthy...let’s not be sensitive about it.

It’s been a long time since you’ve had a sub-standard half back.

League has these moments where you don’t know what you’ve lost until it’s gone.
