Thing is, those comments are pretty bloody accurate when you look at rugby league history. Samoa have always looked very good on paper, yet have NEVER delivered on any big stage. It is a side that folds when the chips are down. They were disgraceful tonight.

Yep. As amazing as they can be, they can mentally chuck it in and just switch off just as easy. Matt Parish didn't help with his pregame comments. If he wanted to give them a gift wrapped excuse to quit when the going got tough, well he did exactly that.
I agree that this is the best side they have ever had on paper. They have always had sides that should have performed better than they have though. I thought England would just pip them. I did not see that performance coming.....but it is definitely in them to not play for 80.
