Samoa have been very unlucky with injuries but they still pulled it through against England.

Kiwis forward pack did awesome against the kangaroos but the halves and backs let them down. Kiwis backline have no threats besides Manu and maybe Mulitalo.

The Samoan forwards are also very good and if they can hold there weight against the kangaroos. We might have a close battle in our hands.

Samoan backs are better than the kiwis and the halves is a even battle.
Don't count this samoan team out that's for sure.
Panthers boys and the origin props doing a awesome job in the middle anything could happen.

Where the heck have you been ? Good to see you back :)

Some of the injuries have had silver linings, Lafai and May have been better than Tago and the Hammer would have been

It's probably not a fair question, but I wonder if Taulagi and Nanai are regretting thier decision. Barely used by Australia in this tournament, they could be on the other side playing a major role.

They scraped past England who played their worse game of the tournament. Unless kangaroos have a real stinker and Samoa the game of their lives it’s hard to see an upset. Let’s all pray to the island gods for one though!

Let's not forget samoa had 2 players taken off for HIA in the first half. Samoa also didn't play that well. Just like the English they bombed a few tries themselves.
It was still a awesome game but both teams can admit they should've played better than they did.

Too busy celebrating 😂😂😂 even now I don't believe Samoa is in the final. It feels like a dream. I was happy making the semis and if England won I would've been proud of my samoan team.

I think that first game was the best thing for samoa because they came into that game with a vengeance mindset. That was the extra motivation that they needed. Where as the English thought they could just walk on to the field and repeat what happen the first week.

Meninga has stuffed up this Australian team by his constant chopping and changing of the side from game to game. Whilst England, NZ, Samoa and Tonga pretty much settled on a starting squad and developed combinations and team chemistry, Meninga chopped and changed the side for every game due to his unwillingness to make a hard decision on his halves pairing.

As such is it any wonder that the side looked clunk in attack against NZ as they had barely played together as a team, with the spine looking very uncoordinated in who did what. Sorry but that is on the coach. Heck even Andrew Webster could identify it and he wrote an article for the SMH pointing this out (https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/th...leary-in-world-cup-final-20221114-p5bxxq.html). All because a Qlder could not make a hard call about Cleary and Cherry-Evans as to who should be the starting halfback. If Australia don't win this WC, a lot of the blame will be on Mal because of it.

Past Australian coaches have shown they've had the courage of their convictions to make a hard call when changing sides. Frank Stanton did it when he dropped Steve Mortimer and Wally Lewis for Peter Sterling and Brett Kenny on the 1982 Kangaroo Tour. Bob Fulton did it during the 1990 Kangaroo tour when he dropped Allan Langer after the first test for Ricky Stuart. Meninga seemingly wouldn't make the call because he didn't want to upset a Qld "buddy".

Yeh it’s amazing to think they are the first team since france in 1968 to be in a RLWC final outside the usual three!
How exciting to think we have three sides now able to compete with the big three. we need a big push for png and France next.
… and Tonga and Fiji ! :)

He meant before that, like after the first game lol Samoa has absolutely did a great job getting this far, I think of the Samoan boys in kiwis and kangaroos and wonder if they wish to be part of the toa side. Will be cheering them on this weekend.

A Samoan win would be incredible. If they had a proper halfback I would give them a real chance, but Australia should win this one by 2-3 tries.

Hopefully Cleary sticks to potting goals, and not doing something stupid like costing his team on Origin series.
Munster has lost more Origin series than Cleary. He was the one who did nothing against New Zealand.

But the whole team could go missing and win this.

In the last world cup Australia beat a half arse'd Samoa 46-0, using that as a gauge I'd say Australia wins the final 24-6

Samoa have some brilliant attacking weapons in Luai and To'o.

But that will not be enough to counter the likes of Munster, Grant, Yeo, Hunt and Addo-Carr. Although not the best Aussie side, still some great strikepower there.

Hopefully Cleary sticks to potting goals, and not doing something stupid like costing his team on Origin series.
Munster hasn't played well since the Broncos game in July. Absolute garbage when his team neeeded him at the pointy end, Grant not really a team player, plays for himself too much. Yeo and Hunt get a pass. JAC is a weapon with the ball and if they're not careful he'll pull their pants down as he did to NZ, but a liability when kicking to his corner. I would be doing this were I the Samoan brains trust. Try to get him creeping infield as he is wont to do.
