My bad mate. Yes Warner's game has shown a clear depreciation over past few years. He is a hand/eye player and those powers appear to have waned. His ferocious slashes to the rope outside the off stump he now misses. Broad showed up his lack of a technique last Ashes. That should have set the bell ringing that he was on the Test downhill slide.

Can't have Warner and Finch both opening. Neither have any form over the past 12 months. One needs to go for Inglis.

It's sacrelige, but I'd consider moving Smith to 5 below Maxwell and Marsh. Smith can play the saviour batting 5 if needed, and has good skill batting with the tail.

Cummins is a beast but hasn't played in ages. Hazlewood should be playing instead.

These are spinning decks yet CA will continue to pick the trio in the same positions because they are, well, big names in white ball cricket. Yes they are.. on flat non spinning tracks. Inglis and Maxwell are good players of spin. I'd have them opening as captains are going to use spin to target the openers.

I thought MMarsh was considerably our best bat v Bangladesh in the 5 game t20 series in Bangladesh in August, the decks there seemed to be a lot more spin friendly than what I have seen in these warmups . Though Warner and Finch are concerning across a period of time
