What a let down. I was thinking this would be the game of the year, and manly were a real premiership chance.

I was surprised quite a few people tipped Manly. The only top 8 teams they’ve beaten are us and Titans. They haven’t really come close to Melbourne or Penrith.

That said I’m surprised by the score line.

You shouldn't be surprised by any scoreline under the current rules. It's easy for one side to dominate possession and the game just gets away from the losing team.

Much as I dislike Storm, it is nice to think that after next weekend only one of Manly or Roosters will be progressing to Week 3.

It’s funny how none of the experts came to this opinion like they did with us. They probably will if they don’t make the grand final.

Penrith v Souths should be a good match tomorrow. I think they're pretty evenly matched and will both have a crack for the full 80mins to earn the week off.

Gee I rated Harper before tonight. What a horrible game from the guy with the Golliwog hair.
Atkins ruins just about every game he referees. So inconsistent. Melb were laying all over Manly and left early every tackle seen on TV. Bloody horrible referee.

Jarryd Hayne only scored 2 tries against melbourne his whole career way back in his 4th game of 1st grade back in 2006 on the wing. Never scored a try at FB against them
