The ball is already rolling.
One incredibly frustrating aspect already is that new seperate social media accounts have been created on Twitter and Facebook for RLWC 2021.
The 'Rugby League World Cup' has 225,000 likes on Facebook. RLWC 2021 has just over 400.
RLWC 2017 has 15,000 followers on Twitter, RLWC2021 has 565.
Why would they not just change their name? Further, the RLWC 2017 is a 'verified' account on Twitter whereas the RLWC2021 is not.
These aren't just minor quibbles, and who knows where Facebook/Twitter will be in 4 years time but why would lose all that connected network?
Sent them Facebook messages today via both accounts. Will update when (if) I get a response.Everyone keep sending them messages until it sinks in ffs. Amateur hour in Rugby League land yet again
so far nothing i see...Sent them Facebook messages today via both accounts. Will update when (if) I get a response.
Exactly those Tongan, Samoan, Fijian, Lebanese, Italians, let alone Australians who mostly watch the NRL are exclusively NRL fans and not rugby league fans. Most wouldn't even know there is a 2021 RLWC.One incredibly frustrating aspect already is that new seperate social media accounts have been created on Twitter and Facebook for RLWC 2021.

I bet a lot of them don't even know there's a 2021.exactly those Tongan, Samoan, Fijian, Lebanese, Italians, let alone Australians who mostly watch the NRL it's likely the majority of them don't even know there is a 2021 Rugby League World Cup which is a massive shame.
My point. As I said they aren't RL fans, they are exclusive NRL fans. The next time they may even know about a World Cup, when Australia/NZ host a World Cup in about 15-20 years from now..I bet a lot of them don't even know there's a 2021.
