Penrith were doing that in the Penrith area back in the 70's and 80's. I've probably still got an old footy card somewhere, we got them when we were registered for school comps. Free admission to all home games. Given Sunday arvos were great for kids going to the games they got plenty of use. I'm not certain it's still a thing, but I would imagine it is.It’s been a great intiative to give every Victorian registered player a 3 game membership as part of their registration fee. Surprised other clubs haven’t thought to do this.

Is that in the past or now?yep, every registered player, coach and trainer gets access to any nrl game
Still a thing apparently. That would be at least 40 years of doing that that I know of. But we are just all about the pokies and do nothing positive for Rugby League. Ha ha.Is that in the past or now?
Why aren’t they going to games then? That would be 10k free game passes being given out?Still a thing apparently. That would be at least 40 years of doing that that I know of. But we are just all about the pokies and do nothing positive for Rugby League. Ha ha.
yep, its still a thing, i get 1 for being a coach and 3 for my boys.Is that in the past or now?
out of interest is there a reason? free tickets and you still dont go?yep, its still a thing, i get 1 for being a coach and 3 for my boys.
we are all ticketed members and get free tickets, yet we still dont go to many games

Some of them are no doubt. Our crowd figures are pretty good and should improve with the new stadium. Why aren’t they going to games then? That would be 10k free game passes being given out?
Given the sub 12k crowds often seen at the Panthers over those years I'm just staggered that they cant get people to go watch them even when they give many thousands of tickets away every game! Some of them are no doubt. Our crowd figures are pretty good and should improve with the new stadium.
It just amused me that you were smoking the Storms pole as though they came up with a new concept by giving away 3 tickets to the dozen or so kids playing league in Melbourne when Penrith has been doing it to ALL games for over 40 years. What's next for the games great innovators? Invent soup in a can?
Unsuitable game times, other shit to do, we were terrible for a lot of our history, how long is a piece of string?Given the sub 12k crowds often seen at the Panthers over those years I'm just staggered that they cant get people to go watch them even when they give many thousands of tickets away every game!
There's only 3 game slots out of the 8 these days that would clash with saturday and sunday amateur sports.Saturday and Sundays have the local RL comp (largest in NSW), soccer comp (3rd biggest in state), and over 3000 netballers on Saturday. This puts quite a dent in attendances.
if you look back Saturday nights are our biggest drawing games.

usually its because i dont have time, weekday games are a out of the question due to traffic. and on a weekend it still takes over an hour to get into the stadium.out of interest is there a reason? free tickets and you still dont go?
