NSW at their finest, square pegs in round holes. JAC has been below average but is still one of the best finishers in the comp, stick Tupou on the end of an AIDS backline and he wouldn’t score much either. Dropping him is insane, Tupou is a decent winger who has spent his career in some very good teams. Should still have enough, but a really underwhelming side we’ve named.

Actually i can see why they went with chricton as the utility 14, they need to cover any backs if they go down, he can play centre, wing and fullback in a pinch and can play either left or right side, ... luai had started as hooker in rep games and also debuting at riff when coming thru, so i can see if cook has an issue or needs a spell they are covered with him... wighton, has improved this past month, but as much as everyone thinks he is a great 14, he can only be a running 5/8th or a centre thats it, a 14 should be able to cover more than just 2 positions...
Daniel Tupou is a plod... id rather addo carr at wing or a Nico Hynes at 14, get and Stephen Crichton as that tall winger, that would be my pick.... and why pick Suaali in the squad, not exactly setting the world on fire...emerging squad yes, but not in the actual squad, surely Campbell Graham has f**ked Freddys missus to not get picked
... i really hate the bench plods from pawwa tho, RCG is guttless and matterson is a show pony, both are useless when fatigue sets in... martin on the other hand is a weapon, can also play as a prop..

We worked out Gutho at centre sucks, one average out of position centre axed each series must be the limit.

it was only because Gutho was so bad we kind of forgot that Wighton got absolutely carved up by Gagai that series

Wow; if JAC is left out that is another blow for the salary cap as a competition leveller. So a team down the bottom of the comp needs to offer an established SOO player at least $100k a year more, because that is the match payments they could miss out on.

It's probably inclusive in his sign on contract.

And yes, he was absolutely f**king horrible at centre in 2020. Embarrassingly so. Horrendous. Useless. Never to be picked again bad.

No point having form players in each position when Fittler does that shit. API clearly the best Hooker at the moment and Crichton easily one of the best two Centres available, yet he picks a Mong from Canberra who plays 6 for his club..
WTF is his love affair with Wighton… And what has he done to even warrant selection?

Wighton is an excellent player and a warranted selection after his last game. My only worry about him is that by next Wednesday week, he would have played in only one game in a month. Not good for match fitness when you're just about to play SOO.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see wighton move to the bench on game day, Crichton is very limited in where he can fill in, jack suits the utility role better.
