Cowboys will turn up, they have turned up all year. But if both teams play their best Parra wins.

If both teams play their best I doubt Parra get within 10 up here.

And the other way around in Sydney.

And Parra don't get within 30 if we play in Darwin. Oh, wait.....................

That is my point exactly, Parra at their worst are f**king hopeless, but what is the Cowboys best victory of the season?

Nope. The score didn't matter.

Getting a home Prelim mattered.

We don't win last week it's season over.

But if you're looking at scoreline wins, I'd say the match we won 35-4 in Darwin was a good win. 16 points in 6 minutes there.
Flogging Parra puts you up there with the Bulldogs and Broncos.

Yep, and also helped put us 1 spot above Parra at the end of the regular season.

But ultimately, the best wins of the season are finals wins. The worst losses of the season are finals losses if you make the finals.

I would've been just as happy with a 65-64 win at Shark Park. Or 1-0.

I watched the 2005 preliminary final today. Holy f**k the Eels were atrocious in that game. Grothe jnr knocking on over the line inside the first 10 minutes set the tone. Totally different scenario this year though to 2005.

Yes they were, and yes it is. It was also the "old style" finals match-ups in the first week.

It's also in a very different place this year.

With a big crowd sounding like 120,000 against them, Parra will have it all in front of them.

And how the victor recovers from this bruising encounter, and a sudden change back to a cooler climate especially for Parra, might have them feeling flat and a little bit under the weather.

I'm going for the Occum's Razor effect with that week off, home crowd and a Cows 5/8 in Tommy Dearden, who I think will get the MoM should bode them well into their 3rd grand final. I'll be tipping the FNQ's by a big score of 34-18.

At $1.90 for the -2.5 line it's almost free money.

The best odds going is Souffs @ $5.50 to win it all. I don't think they will beat Penriff, but if they do I think they are good things to win the GF. $3 to beat Penriff and better than $1.60 chance to beat Parra or Cowboys. $1 of overs for sure.

One of the worst performances I've seen live. Tim Smith had a shocker. Cowboys lapped up his early kicks cross field to Groethe.

Parra have left me flawed so many times over the years but this one has legit given me PTSD.

I was on a caravanning family holiday somewhere in a tiny country town in NZ when this game was on. We couldn’t find a pub or anywhere showing it so my old man drove to the top of the highest hill in town to get radio reception which was barely audible.

We worked out if we held the aerial on the van in a certain direction it improved the signal so we took turns one of us outside the van holding it as we listened through the window. That was all well and good until you factor in it was absolutely pissing down and about 2 degrees.

Our shifts holding the aerial was only 15 or so minutes at a time because my Mum had concerns we would get hypothermia.

annnnnnd as history shows we got absolutely belted which was the icing on the cake… good times.
