Oceania are guaranteed 1 spot in 2026 onwards - The 2nd place team will be involved in a 6 team Intercontinental play off so New Zealand will be a perpetual World Cup qualifier one would say.

Solomon Islands were the runners up in OFC qualifying beaten 5-0 in the Final by New Zealand - In the intercontinental playoff - Costa Rica beat New Zealand 1-0 to Quality for Qatar.

OFC - American Samoa/Cook Islands/Fiji/Kirbati/New Caledonia/New Zealand/PNG/Samoa/Solomon Islands/Tahiti/Tonga/Tuvalu/Vanuatu

Australia would be best off staying in the AFC despite the 1 guaranteed spot in OFC as well they want to improve and reverting back to OFC won't improve their game or the development of players - Only NZ would be a challenge in any 2 leg series in OFC
