I'm not suggesting any team would have done it but anyone with any integrity wouldn't have challenged a call they knew was correct. It’s not our fault
What are we supposed to do ?
Decline the kick ?

Are you saying that Chad Townsend is at fault for challenging it?I'm not suggesting any team would have done it but anyone with any integrity wouldn't have challenged a call they knew was correct.
Agree with the premise but it is subtly different situation. The referee decides when play finishes; while it should be one of the more black and white interpretations, it is still an interpretation (ie is the ball played before the end of play). It’s hard to argue against interpretations for all the reasons we debate every week.As I said earlier the NRL set the precedent a few years back when they refused to overturn the Storms "win' against the Dragons when they scored the winning try from a play the ball they were illegally allowed to take after the full time siren had sounded.
It will come down to a "judgement" argument.
It would seem like a mighty big fight for the Tigers to embark on, just for 2 meaningless competition points (in 2022)
How did they know about t wasn’t correct ?I'm not suggesting any team would have done it but anyone with any integrity wouldn't have challenged a call they knew was correct.
its not hard to work it out thoThe NRL has consistently batted away any clock discussion by saying the broadcasters clock is not official.
It came up as recently as a week ago.
So the argument around time is likely to go nowhere.
Once everyone has calmed down, they'll all come to the realisation that it was a correct penalty. The player who escorted the Cows winger had eyes for him, and cost the team the game, and I have looked at it a few times. The player who gave away that pen should be dropped for next weekend IMO. It is a very bitter pill to swallow, but at least it was a great improvement.not change his line. It’s an escort
It would've meant a lot to their players and fans, sitting at the bottom of the ladder against the 2nd placed team away from home when there are weekly headlines about how shit it is currently at that club
Can’t blame the Cows. Every team and player would have done what they did today.I'm not suggesting any team would have done it but anyone with any integrity wouldn't have challenged a call they knew was correct.
The TV clock, the real story will be what was on the official time keeping clock. What was the clock magicly restarted for 1 second after the conversation?
there are 2 official NRL time keepers but they don't do the conversion shot clocks or penalty shot clocksWe don't have access to the official clock so who knows.
The rule is 90 seconds I believe.
If he saw the play and, like every one on here, knew the call was correct then anyone with integrity would accept that the call was correct and leave it at that. Are you saying that Chad Townsend is at fault for challenging it?
its not hard to work it out tho
get a stop watch on it from the time the try is awarded

As I said though I don't think there is anyone playing the game today with that level of integrity.
