You keep trying to accuse me of something.

Like I said, the TV clock is irrelevant.

The official time keeper is the one that matters, and currently no-one knows what time was left from the try being scored.
Ignore leaguenutter, he never makes sense.

You’re 100% correct. The timekeeping issue is a moot point. There’s plenty more to focus on with what went on here.

Very true, I get that hunger to win can get in the way of sportsmanship. We will only see a stop to the diving if the refs correctly adjudicate it. Their decision today will only encourage it.

In any case, I've lost some respect for devon Feldt as an athlete.
I never had any respect for the cretin to begin with. He’s a thug who never seems to get called for his shitf**kery.

Can we just change the bunker back to be only allowed to rule on try scoring already
We can

We can outlaw the bunker completely if we want and go back to one ref makes the call

I remember those days and the f**king whinging from Gould and co when decisions were made that were wrong on replay

At the end of the day the ref on the ground stuffed up by allowing the challenge then Klien just doubled down on that shit like he was splitting aces in blackjack

Well the referee did cheat here though, he cheated when he allowed the Cowboys to challenge. They were allowed to challenge on a non-call, with the next action in the game either being Tigers ball until full-time or full-time. This hasn't been allowed since the inception of the captain's challenge. You can only challenge when there is to be a restart of play, to my understanding.

My gut tells me the ref lost his mind in that moment and made a howler in allowing them to challenge, then Ashley Klein said "Hey Chris, hold my beer, this is how you make a real howler".

The "referee cheated according to a Broncos fan" isn't the strongest legal argument, though.

If the ref penalised it everyone cops it on the chin. He didn’t make the call so everything that happened after that shouldn’t have been possible.

you can’t just make up the fkn rules as you go along.
According to the ref, there was an indiscretion whilst the ball was in the air, which still made the ball in play. I don't know WTF the linesman was doing, but as far as the ref was concerned, he was told by the bunker there was a pen against the Tigers for what the Tigers winger did to Feldt. As I saw it, it was that Tigers player who came rushing diagonally from the sideline from a fair distance, and interfered with Feldt's line of running.

It's insane though. His eyes were on the ball the whole time. He got penalised for running sideways? That's as bad as when Cody Walker got penalised for an escort for 'looking over his shoulder'. How can they judge intent?

The bunker and refereeing needs to be blown up, all of them sacked (or a rigorous Clockwork Orange-like reconditioning), and start again.
See, I don't see this. And if he's running sideways, why is he?
Once everyone has calmed down, they'll all come to the realisation that it was a correct penalty. The player who escorted the Cows winger had eyes for him, and cost the team the game, and I have looked at it a few times. The player who gave away that pen should be dropped for next weekend IMO. It is a very bitter pill to swallow, but at least it was a great improvement.
I see this. The Tigers player clearly (to me) looks as the kick goes up. He can see where Feldt is. He doesn't watch him as the ball goes up, but nor does he run a line that it's clear what the hell he's trying to do, unless it's impede Feldt. Yeah, Feldt goes down like a bag of shit, but what else is he going to do in that situation?

I don't know what the wording of the law is, but if running a line that isn't directly at the ball with very decent evidence that the 'escort' knew where the player running for the ball was constitutes a penalty, it's not actually as bad as anyone is making out.

If there's an issue with the timing and that they can't call captain's challenge as it is the end of the game, OK. Different issue.

I’m sure after 2015 you had oodles of respect for him

The issue is Klein he is f**king useless , as for the bunker I’m afraid it’s destroying the game.

It's not just me who feels the Tigers were robbed, mate

Yes, but it's not clear to me why this howler is suddenly worthy of setting a precedent never before seen in our game.

I mean the Raiders lost a GF, and going to court or the Roosters declining the win never got a mention.

If the referee thought there was an indiscretion while the ball was in the air, he would have blown a penalty, negating the need to challenge.

In short, what the f**k are you talking about?

After the last few years I decided to step away from watching the NRL for the benefit of my own personal wellbeing.

Today was the first game I watched in full for months.

The only thing I learned today is that my time is better spent doing other things.

This should concern the NRL since I was a regular viewer for decades.

TBF and not trying to open old wounds here, the 6 again possibly cost the Raiders a shot at scoring a try. What happened today, gave the game to Cowboys. I’m not dissing Cows here, not their fault and they’ve been robbed a few themselves and against my club too.

They just set a never before seen precedent in allowing that challenge, I am sure the refs will double down and it will never happen again, no team will ever be able to challenge on a no-call when the ball is in live play again

Does nothing for the Tigers though
