Match of the Round for mine. Both sides have plenty on the line, especially the home side who return to dangerous waters if they lose. Roosters look to be going slightly the better but it's hard to tell. This is a sharp rise in standard for both sides.

A match of this quality really should pack out the old girl but they'll be lucky to get 12,000. Sydney loves events, and unfortunately this isn't one.

Roosters seem to be humming along pretty well ATM. This could well be a dress rehearsal for a prelim final if my rough calculations are right.

If the Panthers win on Thursday night, the Cows still have breathing space even if they lose this fixture, and can rely on Penrith resting players in the final round with their reserve grade having a last round bye, so the Cows will hang onto 2nd and their home final, so all good.

Always appreciated the way the Roosters honoured Thurston in 2018 down in Sydney. Very respectful thing to do at the time, and others started following suit.

The difference in turnaround and travel might be the difference here. Six compared to nine days is a a large amount to overcome. Otherwise the teams are pretty evenly matched.

Addressing issues with our right hand side defence is the key to an important win here.

Perhaps having Cotter start might tighten them up a bit in the ruck? And isn’t McLean due back too?
