T20 is the salary cap dream of the NRL. Anyone can win but not everyone.

That means there are 5-6 contenders. All of them have enough individual brilliance to win the competition and that's what it's all about in the end.

Aus look dicey, they aren't settled enough with their batting and secondary bowling options. Enough talent to win on the day however.

My cute pick is NZ.

The sandgropers living out west better get off their arses and start turning up to the matches if they still want international cricket played in Perth.

Anything less than 50% capacity at Perth Stadium (which includes the recent Australia vs England T20I played there) looks and sounds awful on tv.

Seems like whenever they play any international sport in Perth it’s propped up by fans of the other country. The WA people must not like cheering for Australian sports teams

Cricket is dying in Perth it seems. Crowd is about 99.9% Sri Lankan.

If the Perth crowds have already been sub-standard for white-ball matches, I hate to think what the turnout will be for the opening test match of the summer vs West Indies. Crowds for the two tests played at Perth Stadium thus far (2018 vs India and 2019 day/night test vs New Zealand) barely scraped 20k+ for a day's play

All non-Ashes tests scheduled for Perth should be held at the WACA.

Maxi and the Stoin went boom. Great for our net run rate.

Finchy had a shocker again.

Mark Waugh has called for Pat Cummins to be dropped from the Australian team for the crucial T20 World Cup showdown with England as deep-seated issues continue to emerge within the Australian team.

Waugh on Wednesday morning said selectors need to make changes and said Cummins was the most obvious player to drop after the Test captain’s disappointing performance with the ball on Wednesday night.

Against New Zealand, Cummins conceded 0-46 and was Australia’s most expensive bowler.

---

Way too late for changes IMO. Australia are playing nervous cricket and look under immense pressure. I don't think you get them playing better cricket by dropping Pat Cummins.

Its way too late to drop Aaron Finch. We should have cut our losses a month ago before the Indian tour and kept Cameron Green or Steve Smith in the team.

That was supposed to be the original plan with Limited over Cricket (National and BBL) and selected Tests such as Ashes Tests, Tests vs India being held at Optus with the rest being at the WACA.

Pretty sure that plan was thrown in the bin which sucks because the sight lines at a million times better at the WACA than Optus stadium.

The WACA is a demolition/construction site at the moment anyway on the non-member side of the ground. Given how shit the West Indies are these days it probably wouldn't matter.
